The Brittish Army have killed far more woman and children than Mandela or any other so called "terrorist" yet most on here seem to consider the soldiers as hero's

Mandela is no hero killed innocent women & kids,of course he was fighting against the system but he's still a terrorist violence is not the answer never has been never will be.
Soldiers make mistakes and shoot or bomb women and children by accident largely due to the enemy using them as shields for propaganda purposes. My mates in Afghan at the moment and he said his main objective is to keep his squad safe and any innocent women and children.
Out of interest how do you lot think Mandela should have opposed apartheid bearing in mind he lacked the support of the international community and any form of representation within SA?* Similarly, do you conceive of a situation in which civic violence can be justified i.e. if there was a peasants revolt in North Korea?
*This isn't to say I think his actions bought apartheid to an end, I think economic factors were far more important.
