Sorry, but I disagree. The influx of immigrants is nothing to do with leftism and everything to do with neo-liberalism and efforts to drive down the wages of British workers. Successive governments, Labour and Tory alike, have engineered a system to increase competition for jobs to keep services cheap. Allied to that has been a pernicious stream of political correctness engineered by the media and the upper middle classes. Blaming the left just diverts attention from the real enemy: the neoliberal system itself. Until control over the economy is reestablished immigration will continue, hence why UKIP are not the answer.
