To those weighing in with messages about British foreign policy etc, riddle me this: what does a british citizen of nigerian extraction have to do with events in the Middle East? Its ridiculous to justify callous violence with Anglo-American foreign policy and Islamic brotherhood without simultaneously recognising the culpability of the wider islamic community for not rooting out fractious elements within. Far too many people are trying to have their cake and eat it too on this issue. Perhaps we need to admit that the religious-feudal lines Islam is drawn across clash with traditional western interpretations of the diplomatic field? This is not to say that all muslims are bad/evil/terrorists, but rather the silent majority allow the islamo-fascists in their midst to dominate the debate, in a manner similar to all historical oppressors.

As for the 'english' empire, I'd have a read through the many celtic and particularly scottish connections....

What i don't get is all the hypocrisy surrounding it all. Many of the far right supporters who are shouting even louder due to the man killed being a soldier seem to forget that our Army has been fighting far right extremism for the last hundred years. That is what WW2 was about. The man fought for the freedom and rights of our people and the people of the countries we are at war with, not for some far right agenda. It is insulting that such fights against fascist ruled lands has been turned into a crusade of Fascism by our own people.
I have had family killed in wars up to Ireland in the 90's trying to keep PEACE and stop ideology, and what for?? What are these people in fact dying for? Is it worth it? Doesn't seem so.

Plus this man was killed by ENGLISH born 'men' (SCUM). Where are they supposed to get their boat back home from? One side of the Thames to the other?

Pretty sure only a minority of muslims is a real problem, but I see a HUGE majority of muslim countries where I couldn't live a whole year for various reasons: terrorism / disparity between men-women / Sharia shit / slavery... but eh each to his own!

Am I the only one impressed by the courage and humanity of this lady who sat down close to this soldier, taking care of him while dying? Really touching and brave.

Yes, that woman was braver than most men. Think this horrible incident has to do more with psychiatry than with religion tbh, but sometimes those two things are hard to seperate I suppose ... RIP. Thoughts go out to his beloved ones.
