Not had a proper chance to get out on the bike in this beautiful weather so today I took the time to do so. Slapped on a bit of Piz Buin and off I went. It's a four mile trip on road to this canal bridge and then the pain/enjoyment of another four+ miles on the grass along the canal.
Some nice views along the way including this one from an aqueduct in the Weaver valley.
Finally after some hard work on the grass a proper towpath appears and it's only a few hundred yards further along to the Jolly Tar and time for a swift pint
Back on the towpath heading for Nantwich and one or two lovely houses line the canal.
Enjoyed every minute of the ride and my phone app mapped the route at just over twenty miles.
Only been out once in the past few weeks, a quick 16 miles on back roads. Its surprising how quickly you gain a bit of fitness but lose it equally as fast when you don't do any miles. Got a bout of Diverticulotis at the moment as well which will keep me off the bike for a bit
WTB comfy seats ? I have a half decent bike , I got into going out daily to shed some pounds , but my arse hurt more than my legs , so if I'm gonna go back at it need a good seta , anything can recommedn ?

You wearing padded shorts Steve (baggy's not tight lyca)? Not svelte build myself but padded baggy's deal with most seats.
Be careful what you dream of it may come up and surprise you.

Quote: Rhys wrote in post #98Getting back in the gym has given me the urge to get a bike through the bike to work scheme. Looking to spend around £500, any recommendations fellas?
This has caught my eye;
We operate the scheme at work and half my crew are Boardman mtb owners via halfords nice kit for 500 notes.
