I'm not going to argue with you mate on Torres, you watch him week in / week out, no substitute for that.
If you think about it in a more mercenary way he does at least provide you with the near perfect bargaining tool for beating City to the signing of Falcao from Athletico – Torres goes the other way to someway placate their fans who still see him as a hero, he gets to go home and hopefully rebuild his career and you get the striker to complement Mata/Hazard/Oscar.
Is Ivanovic really your 4th centre-half? Amazed a club with resources of yours would not have at very least 4 recognised central defenders given you would hope to be heavily involved in all 4 competitions each year.
You need to sort out the situation with Cole also, still clearly in my opinion the best left back in the league though I can’t help but think the continued uncertainty regarding who he will actually be playing for isn’t helping. There is a gradual changing of the guard at the Bridge – Drogba is long gone, Lampard and possibly Cole next summer.
p.s. Gerrard – expansive football? He couldn’t even spell it. Watch him at the moment for Rodgers, for all his passing play at Swansea it still falls apart when it gets to SG who looks for the 4o yard Hollywood pass.

it's only my opinion mate, purely that but I will say I've watched him close up for periods and like the opener against Wigan which we won comfortably enough, I expected him to come out flying. He didn't - far from it. The only time I've seen him resemble anything like a world class striker for more than one game was at the beginning of last season when he started excellent, got sent off about the 4-5th game and never recovered tbh. funny enough at the Super Cup, the Atletico fans were singing his name beforehand on the train, etc...they still love him as you say. He could be the make weight in any deal for Falcao. Not that I don't rate Falcao but I prefer Cavani of Napoli myself but that's another story.... Ivo, Luiz, Terry and Cahill. Our squad is bare in places. Now that might sound silly but when you analyse it, and challenging in Europe and the PL, it is. Up front: Torres and Sturridge. Utd for example have 4, Citeh have 4 ,etc....Centre midfield. Ramires (who's excellent) Mikel (Shocking) Romeu (squad player) and Lampard. Not fantastic. Cole is a problem alright but it looks like we're gonna stick to this dopey principle of not givnig more than 1 year due to his age. and he'll walk. As will Lamps I think in Jan. Ironically, we've an abundance of creative/wide players now where previously a shortfall existed - hazard, Oscar, Moses, Mata and the 'lessor spotted' Marin (who's in danger of being our ''Aquilani'' if we're not careful....) Throw in full backs. The spanish lad (as I can't spell his name and Bertrand look decent and adding Cole and Ivo into that, should be enough. but overall, we won't overtake City or Utd with that squad in my opinion. final point on the Gerard/Torres thing....Here's an interesting bit from the Mail the other day regarding RDMs sacking.
"Di Matteo had run the analysis on Torres, asking the club’s technical team for a breakdown of the 81 goals he scored for Liverpool before his move south to London. When Di Matteo went through the detail, a worrying pattern emerged that convinced him Chelsea did not have the personnel to accommodate his game. At Anfield, 56 of his goals (69 per cent) were engineered by defence-splitting passes, usually from Steven Gerrard or Xabi Alonso. At Chelsea, players like Juan Mata, Frank Lampard, Ramires and John Mikel Obi — together with new arrivals Oscar and Eden Hazard – preferred to pass their way through the opposition. They did not spring opposition defences and Di Matteo was already beginning to doubt whether Torres was committed to the Chelsea project. Di Matteo’s relationship with technical director Michael Emenalo was already strained, but it was stretched to the limit by the pressure to get Torres among the goalscorers.
the stats aren't necessarily obvious to the naked eye but they do make a bit of sense.

cracks appearing already , Matas game is renouned for short clever defence splitting passes , Benetez wants Torres fed in on longer chase type passes , he clearly doesn't have that explosive pace he used to .. both games Chelsea really have been dire .. I'm at a total oss as to what RA wants .. he bought Oscar / Hazard for their creativity , as he desires the style Barca produce , puts Benetez in , and we've gone even further back to the style we used to win CL .. I really dont get it ..

Might not last until the New Year at this rate
Be right under pressure if knocked out of Champions League next week.
No 'If' about it Dave. We're going out. Aside from my 100% confidence in Juve seeing out the draw, it might be worth having a nibble on the scandanavians landing a draw at SB as, lets be honest, the game will have FEW chances in it....
My advice is to back us every week - Paddy Power or Ladbrokes Both teams to Score (NO). And have a interest in West Ham not being beaten on Saturday.

Why the fuck would Steve Clarke want to go to a club with a lower table position than the team he currently manages. Plus the fact his current team has a better squad! As for Lukaka, I can see why he were farmed out to us, it were to teach he how to play proper football, passing , moving, intelligent football, non of that theatrical diving negative shite.......................

Benitez was brought in to get the 50 mil goal machine working , and shore up the defence - which he has done , so nice one .. He slagged Chelsea off royally when in charge at Liverpool , so quite righly despised ..
So, you've had to bring in a new Manager, a shit one at that, to show your 50 million pound striker how to score goals and your multi- millionaire defenders how to defend!
And i'll bet my bollocks your one of those who bursts into song 16 minutes into the game!
it's funny why you seem so concerned about Chelsea , as the year has gone on it's all you comment on .. shame you dont show such enthusiasm for your own club , why the fuck should it bother you so much ? can't even rid your bitterness at Christmas ? you are a sad man ..

Chelsea have been making the headlines all year.......for the wrong reasons, hence my over enthusiastic post count on the subject. I'm not a Chelsea hater as you put it, I've tried for a few bites with other teams but don't tend to get the same reaction from their faithful supporters, maybe they take time to read through the posts and see them for what they are......a piss take. Now where's that smiley that blows out his arse!
