Seems to be all over the papers. I wonder if it's just a ploy to try and force Guardiola's hand or genuine interest? I actually think Benitez at Chelsea would work for what it's worth. His man management skills don't seem to be the best but he is very tactically astute. And into the bargain it would send the scousers bonkers
I seriously hope not .. and see no benefit to it .. RDM is doing a good job , at one of the most difficult clubs there is .. He won the CL , more by luck and good fortune than anything else .. All summer signings have done well , and we've gone from the most boring of outfits , to as entertaining as Arsenal .. But it's a transition , and the attacking style isn't backed up by a midfield stopper like Makalele used to be .. Mikel simply doesn't read the game well enough .. and defensively Chelsea aren't good enough .. An attacking style , and three year plan was what AVB was brought in for , I really hope DiMatteo stays , another sacking will be farsical - but nothing new at Chelsea ..
I think Rafa got the message from the fans last time he was touted. He quickly withdrew his interest. I can't see him renewing it after that. It would be farcical for another sacking and I don't think Guirdiola is the answer. I think I could have won close to what he did with the players he inherited. We weren't the best side in Europe last season, which is evident in Europe this season. But just goes to show what a good job Robbie did with what he had. He is in a transition period now. I don't agree with some of his selections/decisions. But as we all know, you don't get long to turn things round in the game these days.
I think the situation in general, as in the talk of him losing his job after leading Chelsea to the European cup, just goes to show that there's absolutely no loyalty or moral fibre involved for those only in it for personal glory such as Abramovich.
It's a sickening scenario, the guy won the ultimate prize in club football and 8 months later he's looking likely to get sacked. There's something very wrong there.
I wish these people would fuck off and plough their money into the NFL or some other shit, but as we all know, football's been fucked for a long time.

It beggars belief doesn't it? Let's be honest, if you aren't happy with Mourhino then you aren't going to be happy with anyone.
Absolute Madness! I'd love to see a copy of the contract that managers get these days. Sacked on a whim, tribunal is a calling unless contract stipulates that one can be sacked just like that!!

Why would it send Scousers bonkers? Rafa is a legend at LFC but like any man he is free to pursue employment where ever he likes. Its part of football players & managers move on for whatever reason but the club & the fans remain. I agree though he would be a excellent choice for Chelsea his record in the CL is excellent reached the final in 2005 & 2007 winning once.
As for Guardiola he will be looking at all the men that have gone before him & won trophies & probably say no to Roman.

Sorry I should have said 'it would send the libpool fans on RAWK bonkers.' And after having a quick nosey on there it would seem I was correct.

I have never been on there to be honest , as with a lot of football forums half of them have never been to watch a game!
